Braunton is about 4 miles from Barnstaple and believed to be the largest village in England. It had a population of around 7500 in the 2001 census. Braunton is also just 12km from Ilfracombe. The South West Coast Path National Trail goes past the village as does the Tarka Trail. You can take this trail and walk along the fantastic Devon coastline.
