The Wirral is a Cheshire peninsular, situated across the River Mersey from Liverpool and extending down to Ellesmere Port. On its left flank is the River Dee, seperating it from North Wales. The Wirral has a population of some 320,000. The price of property for sale on The Wirral varies a lot, due to the wide variety of properties and demographics. Whilst some terraced properties can still be bought fo less than £70,000, the average price of a detached Wirral house in late 2007 was around £300,000.
