Burnham-on-Sea is situated on the Somerset coast where the River Parrett flows into Bridgwater Bay. It is roughly equidistant between Highbridge and Berrow, 16 miles west of Wells, 14 miles north west of Glastonbury and 27 miles from Yeovil. Burnham on sea is a typical English seaside town and continues to attract tourists, particularly in the summer months. With its seven miles of beach and dunes, views across the bay to Wales and easy access to numerous leisure facilities, Burnham-on-Sea is an ideal place to live. It is well known for its lighthouses, including a unique nine legged example. In early March 2008 there were around 224 properties for sale in Burnham-on-Sea with an average asking price of ?224,000 per property. However, more than 50% of all these properties fell within the ?100k - ?200k bracket. A number of high value houses helped to raise the overall average. Detached houses were the most popular configuration with three bedroom properties also being particularly sought after.
