Property for sale in Great Torrington, Devon.Great Torrington, sometimes referred to as just Torrington, is a small market town in the north part of Devon. It is approximately 29 kilometers south of Ilfracombe, 65 kilometers due north of Plymouth and 52 kilometers north west of the city of Exeter. Part of the town lies on a steep cliff that drops down to the River Torridge. In the centre of Torrington due to its layout there are great views, some parts of the town on the lower side experience flooding though. The town is classed as a factory town and in the nineteenth century was well known in the glove making industry.
