Birmingham is a major English city situated in the West Midlands with a population of around one million. However, according to The Domesday Book (1086) it was then a small village worth around twenty shillings. Birmingham is around twelve kilometers to the south east of Wednesbury and twenty eight kilometers from Coventry.

Today Birmingham has undergone major redevelopment of its infrastructure, including the canals which now provide a waterbus service between the various new retail and business developments of the city centre. Birmingham’s famous Bull Ring shopping centre has been redeveloped into a fantastic modern retail centre.
