Coventry is the West Midlands second city next to Birmingham. Coventry is one of the country’s oldest cities, having been declared such as early as 1345. It is believed that the city’s hostile attitude to Royalist prisoners in the English Civil War led to the term ‘sent to Coventry’. Coventry is around forty kilometers to the south east of Wednesbury.

Coventry used to be an important centre for the motor industry but since its decline has reinvented itself with a huge amount of regeneration, encouraging new industry into the city.

In September 2007 the average price of all property for sale in Coventry was around Ł195,000 with the vast majority of available property in the Ł100,000 to Ł200,000 range. Three bedroom semi-detached properties were the most prevalent.
