Housing Market Slows

According to the latest Nationwide house price index, the UK housing market started to show signs of a slow down in May.

With first time buyers struggling to get onto the property ladder anyway, the interest rate rises in the past months are causing concern for many home buyers who fear being overstretched financially, especially if the fear of more rises becomes reality.

The index reported growth of 0.5% for May, down from 0.9% the previous month.
