Private Home Sales Do Not Worry Estate Agents
The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) has acknowledged a slight rise in the number of home owners who are choosing to privately sell their UK property.
However they feel it is currently at a level that isn’t threatening the existence of estate agents. Peter Bolton King, chief executive of the NAEA has stated that they don’t see the private sale of property being a major threat. He continues that there will always be a strong demand for professional agents who can guide home owners through the complicated processes of buying or selling a home.
According to the NAEA, only 6% of around 1.2 million annual home sales are done privately.
