Increased house prices are making it difficult for first time buyers in the UK to get on the property ladder. With the average 3 bedroom property in Bulgaria starting from as little as £65k compared to £215k here in the UK it’s no wonder more and more people are looking to invest abroad.

According to Quest Bulgaria magazine, around a third of all homes bought in Bulgaria are by foreigners, the majority from 20 – 35 yr old Brits. It also stated that Bulgaria was the third most popular place from UK buyers after Spain and France.

Mortgages and finance are now easier to arrange with the average application taking around just eight weeks as opposed to eight months this time last year.
