What the Future May Hold.

The effects of the US mortgage chaos could have an impact in the UK. It may become more difficult for UK buyers and investor to secure a mortgage. UK mortgage lenders are all too aware of the problems in the US caused by being too lenient on customer with poor credit and are looking at ways to prevent that happening in the UK.

There has already been an impact on sub-prime loans and this could affect other products as well. Property buyers may have to pay more in the future for ordinary and specialist mortgages, such as buy-to-lets. This may have a negative impact on house prices with fewer buyers available. According to National Homebuyers who are a property purchasing company most people are concerned with interest rates and worried that they can no loner keep up with the repayments and are asking for a quick sale on their home.
