Interest Rates

The Bank of England has stated that most fixed rate mortgages fell in September. This news comes after some lenders increased rates on a number of their services. It was felt that all borrowers would suffer but this is not the case according to the Bank of England’s findings.

This is excellent news for property owners on a fixed rate deal and more good news may follow. The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has maintained the base rate of interest for October which will be for the third month in a row. It is thought that with inflation now under the 2% target that interest rates will be lowered either later this year or early 2008.
