Going Green

The FMB (Federation of Master Builders) reported that there would be an increase in the demand for environment friendly property if more where built. Eco homes are a lot more expensive than most property on the market and out of the majority of buyer’s budgets.

The government wants to make all new property carbon neutral by 2016 so this may see a change in the availability of environment friendly properties in the future. In the current market it costs on average £25k more to make an eco home due to the small scale being built. When builders go green on a larger scale this figure would be reduced though.
