Selling Advice
If you are considering selling your property you need to make sure you get a good price for your home. This might include doing some home maintenance before you put it on the market. There are a number of things you could do to ensure your property sells for maximum profits some are small and easy to do whilst other are more drastic but will give you a greater return.
Having a garden or garage helps increase the value of your property over similar properties that don’t. Remember the front garden will be the first thing prospective buyers see so make sure it’s neat and tidy.
Off road parking may not add value to your property but it may help to sell it faster. Think before you dig up the front garden. If there is ample street parking do you really need a driveway as well?
Having a conservatory adds value and extra living space but make sure it does not take up the entire garden. Conservatories that take up more than 40% of outdoor space may actually have a negative impact on property values.
Making sure your home is properly insulated is another good selling point.
If you need to decorate make the colours neutral and avoid bold patterns. Buyers need to see themselves living in your home so create a relaxed environment that is welcoming.
