Predicted Rate Cuts

It is thought that the Monetary Policy Committee will decide to cut interest rates in the next meeting held on 6th and 7th February. The bank of England has also just re-appointed Mr Mervyn King to his second five-year term as the governor of the Bank of England. He is the most experienced member of the banks interest rate setting body, this decision was welcomed by the City.
