UK House Prices

According to Hometrack Ltd House prices in the UK fell for the 6th month in a row in March. They estimate that the average price of residential property in England and wales droppee to £174,100, representing a drop of 0.2% for the month.

One of the main factors, aside from simple affordability, is the growing difficulties in obtaining mortgages across the board. Lenders are being far more cautious and making it more difficult for those without a good credit record or decent deposit to obtain finance.
